Village Fete

The annual Churt Fete celebrates summer with an afternoon of fun, games and entertainment for the whole family on the Recreation Ground. The Farnham Brass Band usually get the afternoon’s action started and the opening is followed by 1st Churt Scouts parading with their colourful banners and the children from St John’s Infants School putting on a display of country dancing.

Organised by the Village Fete Committee, with a different theme each year, there are stalls manned by most village organisations, children’s activities and side-shows, lots of local produce and craft stalls, a dog show, the ever-popular Mill Cottage Farm Animals and the stall manned by the Amphibian and Reptile Conservation wildlife charity, a mega-popular bottle tombola, a silent auction and relics of the past from Farnham Geological Society.

After enjoying all that the stalls and activities have to offer, fete visitors can relax at the Pimms stall or at the Churt Club bar, enjoy tea and cakes served by the WI or indulge in Meadow Cottage ice cream.

It is always an event not to be missed!

If you would like to join the organising committee or help on the day, please get in touch with Karen Hilder or Isabel Heath.
